Summer in small town
Yup, July’s here and summer movies is kicking in. A lot of super movies are coming on its way. Just to name a few: Harry Potter, Another Earth, Breaking Dawn, Transformers 3, The Hangover II and more. In my own pleasure, I like to see more indie films but to start with this summer fantasia, I would like to tell you about Super 8. First of all, we should not miss any movie by Steven Spielberg because 98,7% chance it’ll be awesome, so Super 8 is basically about a series of disappearance in a small town. The setting itself (I guess) it’s around 1970s. Now, it’s my personal opinion, but I just loveee the 70s setting. People can grew their hair like crazy hahaha anyway, I’m telling about another great movie that have a 80s setting. Back to super 8, gosh I love the idea of a bunch of small town kids being the heroes. Though I think the main character, Joseph (Joe) is a little to brave. Now I don’t know there’s such thing as that but he’s a middle school kid. Shouldn’t he be, like, afraid of something especially if that thing is big aliens. Nonetheless, I enjoy the thrill very very much.

A little disappointed at the ending though. I don’t know if you agree with me or not but a little too easy to got away with such big alien. I think because of the ending, the movie went from 4 out of 5 into 3 and a half. Kinda like souffle, big and rising, but then you have to pour in cream, and it went sinking at the end. So, enjoy the thrill and chills while it last.
Next stop we’re going to the 80s with Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg in Adventureland. Now with this movie, I love every bits and parts of it. Not a surprise right, after all Kristen ft. Jesse is like a super flavor of frozen yogurt. I know it’s a movie from ‘09 but I can watch it all over again and again (just don’t have the time) anyway, if you haven’t check it out, you must! Next time I’ll go back further in time. 1930s to be exact with some murder scene. Any guess?
